About the Department:

The Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME) is one of the academic departments of Dhaanish Ahmed Institute of Techbnology. The main focus of the BME Department is to impart a basic understanding of medical and engineering on the foundation of physical science, mathematics, computing, and technology. The department is affiliated to AICTE, New Delhi and Anna University Coimbatore.

Graduates of the BME Department are trained towards the practical knowledge in the field of medical and biological engineering thoroughly. The graduates are expected to be strong with the basic experimental design, and communication skills that to be prepared for continueously at the graduate level through out the academic years.

We have a vast experienced faculties in the undergraduate programme in BME Department. Together with increased management support, changes are reshaping the Department’s objectives in education and training, giving our students not only for the excellence in technological knowledge and applications, but in a multidisciplinary engineering background for their career directions. The intake of the department is 60 students every year.

Goals of the Department

To provide the engineering principles and theory necessary to understand how design and distribution work is to be carried out.

To involve in the application of these principles and theory to actual medical and biological design.

To get a full understanding of modern computer-aided design and executing technologies, using industry-standard computer-aided engineering tools.

To develop the business, interpersonal and managerial skills within the context of the global quality standards which govern civil industries world wide.

To develop skills in project planning and management through the many ‘hands-on’ projects which form an important part of the courses.
